Strong Repertoire
As her last album for EMI-Odeon, Simone concentrated more on a repertoire with songs by Ivan Lins/Vítor Martins and Gonzaga, Jr. — half of the album. Ângela Maria’s guest appearance in “Estrela da Canção” was a notable presence, as was the chorus for “Música, Música” and “Novo Tempo” formed with some of the best in Brazilian music including Nana Caymmi, Clara Nunes, Sueli Costa, Fátima Guedes, Abel Silva, Cláudio Nucci and Paulo César Pinheiro. Arrangements were done by Eduardo Souto Neto, Luiz Avelar and Gilson Peranzzetta.
