Tonight (March 27, 2014) Joe Carter and The Brazilian Jazz All Stars will celebrate the music of Tom Jobim with a concert that will be broadcast live on the internet. If you cannot watch the concert live, no worries. It will be archived so that you can enjoy it later at your own pace. The Brazilian Jazz All Stars are Joe Carter (guitar), Ali Ryerson (flutes), Hendrik Meurkens (harmonica), David Finck (bass) and Zé Mauricio (percussion). The group will, of course, play favorites “The Girl from Ipanema,” “One Note Samba,” “Corcovado (Quiet Nights)” and others that may not be familiar to some, such as “Caminhos Cruzados and “Look to the Sky.” You can expect true-to-the-original melodies in this concert with a touch of North American Jazz in these performances.
