In his latest release, Hamilton de Holanda wrote that he had “wanted to record a CD like this for a long time.” The idea was to focus on the mandolin alone and detach it from any other instrument. The mandolin is one of these multifaceted instruments that can bring joy, as in lively choros, as well as evoke sentimentalism.

Mike Marshall and Hamilton de Holanda have come up with a dynamite duet album that is bound to leave listeners in pure ecstasy. On mandolin, mandocello and tenor guitar, Marshall gets plenty of enticement from Holanda, who clearly takes the top spot as Brazil’s number one 10-string bandolim player.
